Vermillion Rise Mega Park offers outstanding connectivity via road, rail, water and air, which together offer endless options for tailoring logistics in the most cost-effective ways.
The park is conveniently located midway between two interstate highways. I-74 to the north and I-70 to the south are connected to the site via State Highway 63, a divided highway that also links the site to east-west U.S. Highway 36.
The park’s location and proximity to interstate highways provides easy access to international airports in Indianapolis and Terre Haute.
Indianapolis International Airport (IND), which has an 11,200-foot runway, is about 70 miles away. It’s also the eighth largest cargo center in the U.S. and home to the second-largest FedEx Express operation in the world.
The Terre Haute International Airport (HUF) is about 35 miles from the park and provides three runways, the longest of which is 9,020 feet.
Indiana has three fully modern ports, one on Lake Michigan and two on the Ohio River all less than half a day’s driving distance from Vermillion Rise. Both Ohio River ports in Jeffersonville, Indiana and Mount Vernon are 3-4 hours away via state and interstate highway, and Burns Harbor on Lake Michigan is just 2.5 hours away.
These, and America’s ocean ports, as well as almost any market in the continental U.S., can also be accessed via the CSX railroad system and its short rail and regional line partners. The CSX line is available from the south and east sides of the site and an onsite rail spur provides easy loading and unloading of shipments.
